2009 CPSA International Convention
and Upcoming Demonstrations

This year at the CPSA Convention there will be a drawing for two winners. The Icarus Drawing Board, donated by Ester Roi, has become a very popular item with colored pencil artists. Ester will be demonstrating the board during the convention week--you’re going to want to try it.

Tickets for the fundraiser are available on line and in the Hospitality Room at the hotel during convention week for $1 each or 6 for $5.

Ester will give a demonstration of the Icarus Drawing Board on September 12, 2009 at the San Diego District Chapter of the CPSA. The meeting starts at 9:30 AM at the Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa Library at 9005 Aero Drive, San Diego.

On selected Saturdays Ester will have free demonstrations at her studio. She can accommodate up to four people at the time. Please contact us for dates and availability.

Icarus Art in the press

Ann Kullberg has a great new book out called "Colored Pencil Secrets for Success" published by Northlight.

"Preludio" (one of Ester's artwork) is featured on the back cover of the book and on the "Still-Life Secrets Showcase" chapter.
Ann talks about Ester's new technique of using wax-based media with heat.

Ester's "Popping Out" is featured on the cover of the Spring-Summer 2009 issue of  "TO THE POINT", the Magazine of the Colored pencil Society of America.
